Hello! My name is Lisa Lamb and I am excited to teach K-6 music and arts at Ascent this year. I currently live with family in Taylorsville. I have a five year-old golden retriever named Josie. Her favorite activities are birdwatching and chasing squirrels. I like documentaries, aquariums, and books. My favorite childrens book is Crictor by Tomi Ungerer. It is about a boa constrictor named Crictor and his adventures living in a French village.
I attended the University of Utah and have a degree in Music Education. I play the saxophone and played it as a member of The Pride of Utah: Marching Utes marching band, the U of U Symphonic Band, and the U of U Wind Ensemble. I was a volunteer conductor for the Granite Youth Symphony in 2019. I have also spent several summers volunteering at an inner city charter school. This will be my first year teaching elementary music and arts and I am excited for it to be at Ascent!
